In a Brooklyn courtroom on Friday, actor Antwon Tanner, 34, plead guilty to an ID scam. He told the judge that he was the

middleman for selling around sixteen Social Security numbers and three fake Social Security cards for a profit of $10,000.

Tanner is set to face as much as a year in prison. According to The Associated Press Tanner and his lawyer did not comment on who or how he got involved in the scam, when asked by the judge.

Had the case gone to trial, Tanner could have faced up to ten years in jail. The scam was discovered by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

In a bizarre turn of events as reported by Monsters&Critics.com, Tanner is also being investigated by authorities in California

for a similar crime.

The actor plays the character Skills on "One Tree Hill" and he was also in "Coach Carter" with Samuel Jackson.
